Unlocking the “Carnage” trophy in Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed requires a specific set of skills and a bit of luck, especially if you’re venturing into online multiplayer with random players. The online experience can sometimes be chaotic, with players unfamiliar with the objectives. This guide will equip you with the knowledge to efficiently identify and abduct special targets in Coop Abduction mode, even when playing with less-than-coordinated teammates.
Before jumping into online matches, it’s highly recommended to familiarize yourself with each map in a local game. This allows you to explore the layouts and visually identify the special targets without the pressure of an online lobby. A quick way to confirm a target is to use your Psychokinesis beam on a suspicious-looking character; scoring 15+ points confirms they are indeed the special target. Contrary to some beliefs, these targets spawn randomly and don’t consistently appear near the abduction beam. Once you’re confident in your target recognition, you’re ready for the online challenge.
To begin your trophy hunt, navigate to “Create Game Room” in the online multiplayer menu. Select the map you need for the trophy and set the “Mode” to “Coop Abduction.” Crucially, ensure “Friendly Fire” is turned “off” to avoid accidental target eliminations. Now, patiently wait for players to join your lobby. A pro-tip for efficiency: if you have multiple players join but only one readies up, kick the unready players to expedite the game start and minimize unnecessary waiting.
When selecting your loadout, “Unlimited Skate” is an invaluable ability. Double-tapping and holding ‘B’ (or the equivalent on your platform) activates skate mode, significantly increasing your movement speed. This is especially useful when carrying targets across the map, as time is often of the essence. You can even skate while holding a target and jetpacking, maximizing your efficiency.
Here’s a map-by-map breakdown of the special targets and where to find them:
Turnipseed Farm: The Special Agent
Your target in Turnipseed Farm is the Special Agent. He’s easily identifiable by the red exclamation mark (!) above his head. He’s armed and will often shout at you, making him even more noticeable. Once spotted, use RB (or your platform’s equivalent) to pick him up and transport him to the abduction beam. Position yourself close to the beam, look upwards, hold RB, and release to launch him into the beam. Ensure you are close enough, as your throwing range is limited. The Special Agent can spawn in various locations: along the road, near the old shed, down by the lake dock, or even in the open field. Keep your eyes peeled across the entire map.
Rockwell: The Radioactive Cow
Rockwell’s target is the Radioactive Cow. This one is straightforward to spot – simply fly around until you locate a glowing green cow. It’s often found within a fenced area on a hill, outside the main theme park area. Think like a farmer; check locations where cows would naturally reside.
Santa Modesta: The Mayor
In Santa Modesta, you’re hunting for the Mayor. He’s one of only two unique character models walking around the map, making him relatively easy to distinguish from the crowd. He’s dressed in a distinctive white suit. Locate him and use the same abduction beam throwing technique. The Mayor is commonly found strolling along the sidewalks near the residential houses.
Area 42: General Armquist
Area 42 presents a slightly more challenging identification. Your target is General Armquist. He stands out from the standard soldiers, possessing a unique character model and specific dialogue lines when you approach him. If you’re unsure, err on the side of caution and throw any military-looking target that seems out of the ordinary into the beam, watching for the 15+ point confirmation. General Armquist can often be found in your starting area, near the aircraft.
Union Town: The Marine Warlord
Many players find the Marine Warlord in Union Town the trickiest target to locate. He’s disguised as a casual civilian, wearing a black suit. He can be elusive, but a reliable spawn point has been discovered. From your starting position, turn right and fly over the houses until you reach the main road. Turn left onto the road, proceed past the construction zone, and take the first right turn onto a dead-end street. He frequently spawns on the sidewalk next to a building on the right side of this dead-end road. Persistence is key with this target.
Capitol City: The President
Your final target is the President in Capitol City. He is dressed in a black suit and, like General Armquist, will have unique dialogue when you get close. The President is skittish and will attempt to flee when he spots you. He has been found hiding behind buildings to the north and in a yard adjacent to a building in the eastern part of the map, often near buildings closest to the abduction beam location.
By mastering these target identifications and locations, and utilizing the skate ability for efficient traversal, you’ll be well on your way to unlocking the “Carnage” trophy and dominating Coop Abduction mode in Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed. Happy hunting!
