Hourglass Capsules and Return Beacons
Hourglass Capsules are identifiable as small, glowing red containers. Interacting with these capsules instantly refills your Shroud timer to its maximum duration. Be mindful that each capsule becomes temporarily unavailable after use, requiring a cooldown period before it can be utilized again.
Return Beacons serve a dual purpose: they act as respawn points upon character death and as sources of Shroud timer replenishment. Simply standing near a Return Beacon will fully restore your timer. This allows for strategic retreats to a beacon to maximize your time within the Shroud.
Shroud Survival Flask
The Shroud Survival Flask is a valuable consumable item randomly found within containers throughout the game world. Shroud Cores: Essential for Flame Altar Progression
Shroud Cores are a crucial resource in Enshrouded, particularly for players aiming to upgrade their Flame Altar. While Shroud Spores are common drops from most Shroud enemies, Shroud Cores are rarer, typically dropped by higher-level foes like bosses and Wraiths.
Unlocking the Alchemist grants access to the Shroud Core crafting recipe, providing a safer alternative to farming them from dangerous enemies.
Early in the game, completing the “Clear the Elixir Well” quest for the Blacksmith offers an accessible Shroud Core. This quest directs you to the nearest Elixir Well, where you must defeat the Thunderbrute boss and harvest your first Shroud Root.
Descend into the mine to locate the Shroud Root and confront the Fell Thunderbrute.
