Having the two “True Souls” you encountered earlier will significantly aid you in this fight. Crucially, during the battle, ensure you do not harm the Owlbear Cub. After defeating the mother, resist the urge to attack the cub as it mourns its parent.
Leave the cave and continue your adventure. The Owlbear Cub’s story isn’t over yet. Head west of the Blighted Village towards the Goblin Camp. You might need to pass a speech check to gain entry.
