Participating in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is simple. All you need is an active World of Warcraft subscription. Even trial accounts up to Level 20 can join in, with the option to subscribe for continued play beyond level 20.
To create your unique Remix character, known as a Timerunner, navigate to the Mists of Pandaria: Remix tab within the game client.

Timerunners gain access to two unique abilities that are central to the Remix experience:
- Extract Gem: This ability allows you to extract gems from socketed gear, providing valuable components for customization.
- ** Bronze, the event’s essential currency, by summoning Unraveling Sands.
Bronze: The Heart of the Remix Economy
Bronze is the lifeblood of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Accumulate Bronze to upgrade your gear and acquire a wide array of cosmetic items, including mounts, pets, and toys.
You can obtain Bronze through various activities:
- Defeating enemies, both regular mobs and bosses.
- Scrapping unwanted gear using Unraveling Sands.
- Completing dungeons, raids, and scenarios.
- Opening quest reward caches, such as Minor, Lesser, Standard, and Greater Bronze Caches.

- Defeating enemies and raid bosses.
- Opening Cache of Infinite Treasure from quests.

Threads: Powering Up Your Cloak
Threads permanently boost your Cloak of Infinite Potential. Thread rarity and stat bonuses depend on your character level bracket:

- Level 30-49: Uncommon (green) Threads: +3 stats.
- Level 50-60: Rare (blue) Threads: +7 stats.

Unlock Amulets, Rings, and Trinkets through Achievements
If you haven’t found any amulets, rings, or trinkets, don’t worry! These slots are intentionally gated behind event achievements, ensuring progression through content unlocks these slots. These unlocks are account-wide as of May 24th.
- Timerunner’s Amulet: Reward for completing all Pandaria raids on Normal Difficulty ( Pandaria Raids achievement).
- Timerunner’s Ring: Earned by completing all scenarios on Heroic Difficulty ( Heroic: Pandaria Scenarios achievement).
- Timerunner’s Seal: Obtained by clearing all Pandaria dungeons on Heroic Difficulty ([ Heroic: Pandaria Dungeons achievement).
- Timerunner’s Beacon: Awarded for completing any of the 3 achievements within the Escalation achievement group.
- Timerunner’s Idol: Received upon reaching Level 70 with a Timerunner ( Timerunner achievement).
Gems: Customize Your Power
Gear in WoW Remix comes with empty spell sockets, designed for powerful gems. These gems are found through quests, treasure chests, creatures, and bosses. Combine 3 chipped gems to create a higher quality gem.
There are four gem types in the event:
- Meta Gems
- Tinker Gems
- Cogwheel Gems
- Prismatic Gems
Meta Gems: Unleash Trinket-Like Effects
Meta Gems slot into your helm and provide powerful, trinket-like active effects. You can only have one Meta Gem socketed at a time. Purchase Bronze to acquire any Meta Gem you don’t currently possess.
Meta Gem options include:
- Bulwark of the Black Ox: Channel a shield, taunt enemies, and deal damage.
- Chi-ji, the Red Crane: Transform into Chi-ji, gaining movement speed, immunity to movement impairing effects, and access to abilities like Crane Rush and Blazing Nova.
- Funeral Pyre: Gain Primary Stat, stacking damage over time. Reactivate to remove early.
- Lifestorm: Summon a storm that damages enemies and spawns flowers that heal and grant Haste to allies.
- Locus of Power: Channel arcane power to grant Haste, Critical Strike, and Mastery to yourself and allies.
- Morphing Elements: Summon portals that launch elemental attacks, culminating in an explosion.
- Oblivion Sphere: Create an orb that increases damage taken by enemies, then explodes, dealing Shadow damage and stunning.
- Precipice of Madness: Grant party members a damage absorbing shield, reducing their health to 10%.
- Soul Tether: Tether your soul to allies, redirecting a portion of their damage taken to you.
- Thundering Orb: Transform into an orb, dealing damage and reducing damage taken, while immune to loss of control.
- Tireless Spirit: Reduce resource costs for party members.
- Ward of Salvation: Heal an ally and grant a damage absorbing ward that explodes for Holy damage when it expires.
Tinker Gems: Offensive and Defensive Powerups
Tinker Gems offer a wide array of offensive and defensive enhancements. Purchase Bronze to obtain any Tinker Gem you are missing.
You can socket up to 12 Tinker Gems: 3 each on Shoulders, Wrists, Hands, and Belt.

- Ankh of Reincarnation: Resurrects you upon lethal damage.
- Arcanist’s Edge: Consume absorb shields to deal Arcane damage.
- Bloodthirsty Coral: Damage taken converts to healing over time.
- Brilliance: Increase Versatility and resource regeneration for party members.
- Brittle: Enemies explode on death, dealing Frost damage.
- Cold Front: Grant shields to allies and inflict Numbing Cold to enemies.
- Deliverance: Convert overhealing into healing for allies.
- Enkindle: Gain a fiery shield that damages attackers and increases Haste.
- Explosive Barrage: Launch fire missiles at enemies.
- Fervor: Consume health to deal Holy damage while above 80% health.
- Freedom: Increase Avoidance and remove control-impairing effects from allies.

- Sunstrider’s Flourish: Critical strikes cause fiery explosions.
- Tinkmaster’s Shield: Gain a regenerating damage shield.
- Vampiric Aura: Increase Leech for yourself and party members.
- Victory Fire: Slaying enemies causes explosions that damage enemies and heal allies.

Cogwheel Gems: Utility and Movement Enhancements
Cogwheel Gems provide utility and movement abilities, some mirroring class abilities with separate cooldowns. You can only have one Cogwheel Gem socketed in your boots at a time. Purchase Bronze to get any missing Cogwheel Gem.
Available Cogwheel Gems include:
- Blink: Short teleport and stun/bond removal.
- Dark Pact: Sacrifice health for a damage shield.
- Death’s Advance: Increase movement speed and immunity to movement impairment.
- Disengage: Leap backward and increase movement speed.
- Door of Shadows: Teleport to a targeted location.
- Heroic Leap: Leap to a location dealing damage on impact.
- Leap of Faith: Pull an ally to your location.
- Pursuit of Justice: Increase movement and mounted speed.
- Roll: Short distance roll.
- Soulshape: Transform into a Vulpin for teleportation and increased speed.

What Happens to Your Timerunner After the Event?
When WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria concludes on August 19, 2024, all Timerunner characters will convert to standard World of Warcraft characters. Level up a Timerunner now and prepare them to be your main in the upcoming War Within expansion!

- Auction House is disabled for Timerunners.
- Professions are unavailable in MoP Remix.
