- Unlock Kicks Shoe Store: Your first goal is to get Kicks, the shoe store, to open up. To do this, you need to spend at least 8,000 Bells at the Able Sisters clothing shop.
- Wait for Kicks to Open: Kicks won’t appear immediately after you spend the Bells. You’ll need to wait at least ten days after your town was created for Kicks to set up shop.
- Spend More Bells at Able Sisters or Kicks: Once Kicks is open, continue your shopping spree! Spend a total of 10,000 Bells at either the Able Sisters or Kicks.

Along with hairstyles, Harriet can also help you change your hair color. When you ask to change your hairstyle, she’ll also inquire about your desired hair color. There are sixteen fantastic hair colors to choose from, ranging from natural tones to vibrant, unusual shades.

Dealing with Messy Hair
If you haven’t played Animal Crossing: New Leaf for fifteen days, you might be greeted with a “messy” hairstyle when you return. Don’t worry, it’s easily fixed! Just head back to Shampoodle’s and get a new hairstyle from Harriet to tidy up your look. If you have the Beautiful Town ordinance in effect, it will take longer for your hair to become messy.
Mii Masks: Transform Your Face
Shampoodle’s isn’t just about hair! Harriet can also give you makeup that transforms your face to look like any Mii you’ve created in your Mii Maker. Just ask Harriet for the “Makeup” option. This service costs 3,000 Bells.
Harriet will create a Mii Mask that you can wear. You can put it on or take it off whenever you like.
