California makes voting accessible and convenient with multiple options and extended voting periods. Here are the important dates and ways you can cast your vote in the upcoming election:

Ballots mailed to every registered California voter by October 7, 2024.

  • Mail-in Voting: You can return your ballot by mail using the prepaid envelope. Ensure your ballot is postmarked on or before Election Day, and received by your county elections office within 7 days after November 5th.
  • Early Voting: Early voting begins October 7, 2024. Check with your county elections office for early voting locations and times, which may be available at additional sites beyond the main office.
  • Ballot Drop-off Locations: Official ballot drop-off locations will be open starting no later than October 8, 2024.
  • Vote Centers: In Voter’s Choice Act counties, vote centers will be open from October 26, 2024. You can vote in person or drop off your ballot at these locations.
  • Election Day: November 5, 2024 is the final day to vote in the General Election.
