Calico is a delightful game where you manage a cat cafe, befriend adorable animals, and solve the island’s problems. While it’s not actually about witchcraft, there’s a questline that playfully explores the theme, adding a magical touch to your cafe adventure. This guide focuses on “A Beginner’s Guide to Witchcraft,” a side quest that adds a dash of enchantment to your Calico experience, while also helping you navigate the game’s many quests and collectibles.
Completing all quests in Calico unlocks an achievement. Track your progress via the Townspeople menu – red hearts indicate completed quests. Quests primarily reward you with designs for decorating food and your cafe’s wallpaper. Some quests will also give you recipes that can be purchased at Estelle’s or Oliver’s in Heart Village if you happen to miss them.
Main Quests: Unlocking the Island’s Secrets
The main storyline, started by Mayor Kiva, involves revitalizing the island and ensuring its residents can connect. This typically involves unlocking access to different biomes.

Side Quests: Woven with Witchcraft (and Wallpaper Designs!)
Side quests are a core part of the Calico experience. They provide designs for your cafe, furniture, and sometimes even lead you to new animal friends! Remember that NPCs have schedules and are often found at home, work, or visiting the cafe. The map will help you locate them.
