Starting Location: A Bird in the Hand Quest
Begin your adventure in the Hogwarts Valley, near Brocburrow. Look for Poppy Sweeting to initiate the quest.
Meeting Poppy and Dorran
Your first step is to meet Poppy southwest of Brocburrow. Simply approach her and interact to trigger the next objective. Then, follow the quest marker to locate Dorran and engage in conversation.
Entering the Ruins: Puzzle Solution
To enter the ruins, you’ll need to solve a moonstone puzzle. Place the moonstone on the designated pedestal. This will illuminate two symbols on the door behind it.
Identify these symbols on the pillars surrounding the area. Use the Accio spell to manipulate the pillars, placing one opposite each corresponding symbol on the ground. This correctly aligns the magical energies and unlocks the door.
The Search for Snidgets
Once inside, follow the designated path through the ruins. Be prepared for environmental puzzles and potential dangers lurking within. The path isn’t always clear, so pay attention to your surroundings.
At one point, you will encounter a blocked path. Use the Incendio spell to clear the barrier and continue your search.
Further along, another blocked path requires solving a cube puzzle. Locate the two cubes needed to proceed.
The first cube is located to the left, near a tree. Use Wingardium Leviosa to lift and place it on the left pedestal.
The second cube is accessible by using Wingardium Leviosa on a crate nearby. Position the crate to the opposite side, climb on top, and retrieve the second cube. Then place that cube on the right pedestal.
To reveal the door, cast Incendio on the left cube and Glacius on the right cube. This elemental combination unlocks the path forward.
Defeating the Poachers
After passing through the cube-revealed door, be prepared for an ambush by poachers. Utilize your combat skills and spells to defeat all enemies and secure the area.
Unlocking the Snidget Sanctuary
Once the poachers are defeated, approach the door to the Snidget Sanctuary. Cast Glacius on the lower half of the door and open it. This grants access to the sanctuary and completes the quest objectives.
