This comprehensive guide delves into the “A Bloody Feast” main mission in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, focusing on the pivotal events surrounding Pausanias, the sage of the Peloponnesian League, and the unraveling of a Cultist conspiracy within Sparta.
Following the completion of the tasks assigned by the kings of Sparta, your journey leads back to Myrrine. The time has come to reclaim your family’s rightful citizenship and estate, and more importantly, to expose Pausanias as a traitor and a member of the insidious Cult of Kosmos. If you heeded Brasidas’ strategy in Boeotia and allowed Lagos to escape the Cult, you possess the crucial evidence needed to solidify your accusations. Myrrine has gathered the Ephors, powerful elected officials who hold sway even over the kings, to witness your grave allegations.
Enter the throne room and report your successful completion of the Kings’ assignments. Archidamos will question the presence of the Ephors. Now is the time to denounce King Pausanias as a traitor and a member of the Cult. If you possess the irrefutable proof obtained from Lagos, Pausanias will be unable to refute the charges and will face banishment from Sparta. However, if Lagos was killed and the Ephors remain unconvinced, both Myrrine and you will be exiled, leaving Pausanias to gloat about the Cult’s influence.
Either way, King Pausanias becomes your next target. If he is exiled, an opportunity arises to assassinate him as he flees. Be warned, he is a formidable opponent, and any soldiers who witness your attack will join the fray. Upon confirming his death, you will find definitive proof of his guilt on his corpse. Return to Archidamos with this evidence to have your family’s citizenship and estate restored. If Pausanias escapes into exile, pursue and eliminate him to rid Greece of another Cultist.
Return to Myrrine at your ancestral home. During this reunion, the specter of Nikolaos’ absence looms large. Appease Myrrine’s concerns by acknowledging that “He still cares.” This moment of familial reflection is interrupted by Brasidas, who brings news of Athenian forces advancing and Deimos fighting alongside them. Upon hearing this, Myrrine implores you to bring Deimos back. To achieve the optimal, most fulfilling ending, commit to “I’ll bring Deimos back,” even if past encounters with him/her suggest otherwise.
This decision is critical for the narrative’s resolution and reflects your commitment to family, a central theme throughout Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The choices you make during “A Bloody Feast” have lasting consequences on the game’s ending and your character’s relationships.
