Christmas has arrived in RuneScape 3 (RS3) with the return of the Christmas Village and a brand-new quest, “A Christmas Reunion.” In this guide, we’ll provide a quick walkthrough to help you assist Diango in preparing his workshop for the winter season. Get ready to craft festive uniforms, bake delicious biscuits, and mix up some delightful hot chocolate!
Quest Requirements and Preparation
Before diving into the “A Christmas Reunion” quest, gather these essential items to streamline your progress:
- Split fir logs (3)
- Steel nails (15)
- Bolts of cloth (5)
- Thread
- Red dye
- Green dye
- Chocolate dust
- Bucket of milk
- Biscuits
Note that Fir logs are only obtainable within the Christmas Village.
Locating Diango in the Christmas Village
Begin your quest by using the Christmas Village teleport, found within your spellbook, to travel to the Land of Snow. Head east to find Diango’s Workshop. Diango is standing next to a decorated Christmas tree. Initiate the quest by speaking with him.
After speaking with Diango, you will learn that he was invited to the Christmas Village by Santa to help with toy production. However, due to mischievous snow imps, the workshop requires some repairs and supplies.
Step-by-Step Quest Guide
Here’s a breakdown of the “A Christmas Reunion” quest:
Building Workbenches
Diango will instruct you to collect wood from the fir trees, split them, and assemble workbenches using steel nails. You need three workbenches, requiring 15 steel nails and three split fir logs.
Chop down the fir trees outside Diango’s Workshop until you have three logs. Use these logs on the nearby stump to split them.
Steel nails can be crafted at an anvil using a steel bar. You will receive 75 nails for the quest. Purchasing nails from the Grand Exchange is also a viable option.
Return to Diango’s Workshop and interact with the three piles of planks located in the northern part of the building. Your character will begin repairing each workbench, and imps will appear and interrupt the building process. Shoo them away, or ignore them, until all three are built.
Recruiting Pixies
After completing the workbenches, speak with Diango. He will introduce you to Cait, a pixie and union representative. You will quickly realize that very few pixies are present. Cait suggests searching for them in the following locations:
- Lumbridge Crater
- Al Kharid
- Daemonheim Peninsula
- Tree Gnome Stronghold
- Zanaris
You only need to locate three of the five pixies to advance the quest. Free-to-play players cannot access the Tree Gnome Stronghold or Zanaris pixies. Cait gives you a Magical Thingymabob to help locate the pixies.
Use the Magical Thingymabob to scan for pixie magic. The signal strength ranges from Weak to Very Strong. Once you reach the Very Strong range, the pixie will appear.

Creating Pixie Uniforms
After recruiting at least three pixies, return to Diango and Cait. Diango will realize that the pixies require festive uniforms. He will suggest speaking with Iffie in Varrock to obtain new uniforms.
Visit Thessalia’s Fine Clothes in Varrock and speak with Iffie. She provides a pixie uniform pattern, but you’ll need the following materials:
- Six bolts of cloth
- Red dye
- Green dye
- Thread
These items can be purchased on the Grand Exchange, or you can create the dyes yourself. Red dye can be made using redberries and coins at Aggie’s in Draynor Village. Green dye requires combining yellow and blue dye, made by giving Aggie Woad leaves and onions, respectively, along with coins.
Combine the dyes to make Christmas Dye. Then, use the pattern in your inventory to create the pixie uniforms. Return to Diango to select a color for the uniforms. This choice is cosmetic.
Restocking the Kitchen
The final task is to prepare food for the pixies. Cait and Diango ask you to make hot chocolate and biscuits, requiring:
- Chocolate dust
- Bucket of milk
- Biscuits
If you have partially completed Recipe for Disaster, you can access the chest under Lumbridge Castle for these items. Otherwise, purchase them from the Grand Exchange or gather them yourself by milking a cow, baking biscuits, and grinding a chocolate bar.
Determine the pixies’ preferences for the exact quantities required:

With all ingredients in hand, return to Diango and Cait. Instead of talking to them, interact with the biscuit storage near them and enter the required quantities for each biscuit type. Then, interact with the hot chocolate storage box and enter the quantities for each hot chocolate type.
Once everything is stocked, speak to Diango and Cait to celebrate the start of toy production and complete the “A Christmas Reunion” quest in RuneScape 3.
