“A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” features music by Steven Lutvak and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak, with a book by Robert L. Freedman. Under the direction and choreography of Stephen Schellhardt and music direction of Andra Velis Simon, this production brings to life the story of Monty Navarro, portrayed by Jeff Award-winner Matt Crowle. Crowle brilliantly embodies eight different characters, adding to the comedic chaos as Monty navigates his path to inheritance.
The musical follows Monty Navarro as he discovers he is ninth in line to inherit a family fortune. To expedite his ascent, he hilariously sets about eliminating the eight relatives ahead of him. Amidst the mayhem, Monty juggles a mistress, a fiancée (who also happens to be his cousin), and the looming threat of imprisonment.
