Step 1: Initial Exploration

Begin by exiting the building through the open doorway.

Head to the left side of the building.

Locate and retrieve the wire cutters from the ground. (Note: Ignore the bullet in the wall for this non-firearm playthrough.) Proceed twice to the right, reaching the outer fence.

Click on the path beyond the fence to access the map screen.
Step 2: Rescuing Father Bernard at the Church

Inside, you’ll find Father Bernard, a survivor who has lost his faith. He’s essential to survival, but you need to inspire him first. Collect the axe from the stump in the bottom right corner of the church and then leave.
Step 3: Scavenging at the Gas Station
On the map, travel to the gas station located in the top right corner.

Grab the empty gas canister near the window. (Again, ignore the bullet on the ground). Enter the gas station.

Collect the batteries, water, painkillers from the medicine cabinet, and a coin from the cash register. Use the axe to break down the door and proceed through it.

Step 4: Rescuing Jeremy at the Grocery Store
Head to the grocery store, located in the top left corner of the map.

You’ll find Jeremy outside, unable to help until you find his glasses inside the store. Use the coin on the shopping carts to acquire one (or the bolt cutters if you prefer). Use the shopping cart on the reel of fence wire in the alley beside the store, behind Jeremy.
Enter the store.

Collect the instant camera and the alcohol, then exit the store. Combine the camera and batteries in your inventory. Click on the drawing on the wall down the side of the building.

Step 5: Inspiring Father Bernard
Return to the church.

Show the photograph to Father Bernard; the child’s hopeful drawing will restore his faith, and he’ll agree to join your group.
Step 6: Preparing the Base
Return to the base. Go inside the building and head left to find Bill.

Give the painkillers to Bill; he’ll recover enough to assist with repairs, but he remains infected and will turn by nightfall. Go left again.

Take the shovel and return to Bill. Use the bottle of water on the bucket of sand to the right, then add the bag of mortar. Use the shovel on it. Confirm your choice.

Return to the grocery store. Enter the store and click the hole in the ground.

Use the shovel on the zombie (confirm your choice); it will break the shovel but kill the zombie silently. Collect Jeremy’s glasses. Give the glasses to Jeremy, and he’ll join you.

Step 8: Fueling the Generator
Visit the final location in the bottom left corner of the map.

Use your axe on the trees in the background, confirming your choice. With Jeremy and Father Bernard’s help, this task will be quicker.
Step 9: Fortifying the Base
Return to the base.

Use the two red wires in your inventory on the generator to connect it to the fence, then use the fuel on the generator and confirm. Click the generator to power it on, electrifying the perimeter fence.

Go left to the front of the building. Use the pointy sticks on the hole to boobytrap it. With help, it will only take a shorter time.

Step 10: Final Preparations
Go inside the building.
Click the door to close it, then use the key to lock it.

Go left to the window.
Use the bricks on the window, confirming your choice. With help, bricking up the window will be faster.

Give Bill the alcohol. After he passes out, use the axe on him to kill him, preventing his zombified return. (Note: For “The Merciful” achievement, use the gun instead, but be aware it will attract more zombies.)

Step 11: Surviving the Night
Having secured and boobytrapped the building, click the clock in your inventory and skip to nighttime.

By default, 50 undead will attack. If you used the gun, you’d attract extra zombies for each bullet fired.
The attacking zombies will be killed trying to breach the building. You, Jeremy, and Father Bernard survive the night, unlocking “The Survivor,” “The Savior,” and “The Shadow” achievements.
