Introduction to the Far Cry 6 Trophy Journey

Welcome to your definitive Far Cry 6 trophy guide! Achieving the platinum trophy in Far Cry 6 is a rewarding and relatively straightforward endeavor. This action-packed open-world adventure offers a diverse range of trophies, from story-related milestones to engaging side activities and challenges. You have the freedom to tackle these trophies in any order, and the game’s forgiving difficulty settings ensure that skill level won’t be a barrier to platinum. While there are a few online trophies, most can be efficiently completed solo or with minimal co-op interaction. Let’s dive into the roadmap to platinum and conquer Yara’s challenges!

Step-by-Step Platinum Roadmap

This roadmap provides a structured approach to earning all Far Cry 6 trophies, ensuring you don’t miss anything crucial along the way.

Step 1: Immerse Yourself in the Story Campaign

Your initial focus should be on experiencing the captivating narrative of Far Cry 6. Play through the main story missions at your preferred pace. The difficulty setting is irrelevant for trophies, so feel free to choose “Easy” to streamline your playthrough if desired. The story campaign typically takes around 15-20 hours, depending on your engagement with side content.

Crucially, be mindful of the missable Hidden In Plain Sight trophy. This requires unlocking the secret ending before completing the main storyline. It’s easily done by leaving Yara’s map boundaries after finishing the first island, Isla Santuario. Don’t worry, triggering the secret ending will simply reload your last autosave, allowing you to continue with the main story without any progress loss.

It’s also highly recommended to prioritize the semi-missable FND Base trophies early in your playthrough: Ninjerilla and Didn’t See That Coming!. These require capturing an FND Base undetected and utilizing a Security Control Center, respectively. FND Bases don’t fully reset after the story, making these trophies potentially more time-consuming later.

Step 2: Collectible and Open-World Cleanup

Once you’ve completed the main story, Yara opens up for extensive free-roam. By this point, you’ll likely have unlocked numerous fast travel points, making navigation much easier. Utilize the wingsuit and air vehicles to expedite your travel across the map. A key step here is to destroy all Anti-Aircraft Cannons. Clearing the airspace allows for unrestricted wingsuit and helicopter use, greatly simplifying collectible hunting.

Focus on gathering trophy-related collectibles, completing necessary Military Targets, and tackling any remaining Completion Tasks. Notably, the 143 “Hidden Histories” collectibles are not required for any trophies and can be skipped.

Step 3: Miscellaneous Trophies, Insurgency, and Spec Ops

With the map explored and story completed, it’s time to mop up miscellaneous trophies. This includes mini-game trophies, combat-related achievements, and online trophies.

Post-story, you’ll unlock weekly Insurgency Challenges featuring Insurgent Leaders. Exploit the game’s mechanics to quickly earn Oh No You Don’t! by defeating three Insurgent Leaders efficiently.

Finally, address the Spec Ops online trophies. These can be done solo, requiring only server connection. They are relatively short and simple missions initiated from the Spec Ops NPC at any Guerrilla Camp.

Trophy Icon Trophy Name Trophy Type Description & How to Unlock
Unlock all trophies – Earn every other trophy in Far Cry 6 to unlock the platinum and prove yourself the ultimate liberator of Yara. (DLC trophies are not required for platinum).
Select Dani’s look (Solo Campaign only) – This trophy is story-related and unmissable. At the very beginning of the game, during the initial cutscene, you will be prompted to choose between playing as a male or female Dani Rojas. Make your selection to unlock this trophy.
Find your way to Miami*MISSABLE TROPHY* This trophy is tied to the secret ending of Far Cry 6 and can no longer be obtained after completing the main story and seeing the “true” ending. To unlock it, simply leave the map of Yara by boat, plane, or helicopter after you complete the first island, Isla Santuario. Head towards the edge of the map until you see the “Leaving Yara. Turn Around!” message. Continue past the boundary to trigger a cutscene showing Dani escaping to Miami. After the secret ending, the game reloads your last autosave, allowing you to continue playing the main story without losing progress. This must be done before finishing the main story.
Recruit the Legends of ’67 and La Moral – Story-related and unmissable. Earned for completing all story missions (Operations) in the El Este region, recruiting these key factions to your cause.
Recruit the Monteros – Story-related and unmissable. Awarded for completing all story missions (Operations) in the Madrugada region and gaining the support of the Montero family.

Take back Yara – Story-related and unmissable. Awarded for completing the main story campaign and liberating Yara from Anton Castillo’s regime.
Capture an FND Base without being detected (Solo Campaign only) – There are 21 FND Bases scattered across Yara. To earn this trophy, you must conquer any FND Base without being detected by enemies. Stealth is key! Use silenced weapons, like the MS16 S rifle obtained during the prologue, to eliminate enemies with headshots. A recommended base for this is Sureno Shipyards in El Este, due to its spread-out enemy placement. If detected, immediately reload your last autosave or respawn to try again. Remember, FND Bases become semi-missable as they don’t fully reset, making early acquisition of this trophy advisable.
Example of an FND base, ideal for stealth approach to earn “Ninjerilla” trophy.
Capture an FND base with a Co-op partner*ONLINE TROPHY* This trophy requires online co-op. Team up with a friend or use matchmaking to conquer any FND Base in co-op mode. Detection is irrelevant; simply capturing the base together unlocks the trophy for both players. Co-op can be initiated from the pause menu or title screen. If you’ve already captured all bases solo, joining a friend’s game still allows you to earn this trophy. Like “Ninjerilla”, this is also tied to FND bases and shares the semi-missable nature.
Capture all FND Bases (Solo Campaign only) – Liberate Yara completely by capturing all 21 FND Bases across the map in single-player mode. Strategic planning and combat prowess are key to conquering all these enemy outposts.
Return 3 FND Resource vehicles in mint condition – FND Resource Vehicles are enemy trucks carrying essential resources like metal, gasoline, and medicine. Steal these trucks from main roads and deliver them to vehicle pickup points (marked by green car icons on the map). Ensure the truck is in “mint condition” – minimal damage, no smoke. Repair with the Repair Tool if needed. Park the undamaged truck in the designated spot to receive resources. Repeat this process 3 times with different trucks. A prime location for this is in Madrugada, Costa Del Mar, where resource trucks frequently spawn near a vehicle pickup point. To clear space for the next truck, spawn a personal vehicle after delivering one.
Ideal location in Madrugada, Costa Del Mar to easily intercept and deliver FND resource vehicles for “Finders Keepers!” trophy.
Capture 10 Checkpoints (Solo Campaign only) – Overrun and secure 10 enemy Checkpoints in single-player mode. Utilize stealth or brute force to overcome the enemy presence and claim these locations for Libertad.
Blow up 16 Anti-Aircraft Cannons (Solo Campaign only) – Locate and destroy 16 Anti-Aircraft Cannons scattered throughout Yara in single-player. These cannons pose a threat to air travel and must be eliminated to gain aerial dominance. Use explosives or heavy weaponry to dismantle them.
Intercept 10 Military Supply Drops (Solo Campaign Only) – Successfully intercept 10 Military Supply Drops in single-player mode. Supply drops are indicated by parachute icons on the map, often requiring you to reach a location quickly to claim the valuable resources before enemies do.
Complete the Yaran Story “Triada Blessings” – Finish the Yaran Story side quest “Triada Blessings.” Begin this quest by reading the note in Oluwa Cave on Isla Santuario. Completing this multi-stage treasure hunt will reward you with powerful mythical gear and this trophy. Consult a guide for the full Triada Blessings Walkthrough.

Complete a Special Operation*ONLINE TROPHY* Successfully finish any Special Operation. These online missions are accessible from quest boards in your main Guerrilla Camps (Madrugada, Valle De Oro, El Este). While online, Spec Ops can be played solo. The objective is typically to retrieve a PG-240X battery and return it to the starting point. In the first Spec Ops mission, “Mesozoico,” the battery is located in a building in the northeast area.
Successfully complete 5 Bandido Operations – Complete 5 successful Bandido Operations. Start these passive missions at the “Los Bandidos” board in any main Guerrilla Camp. Assign a leader to embark on timed quests. Early missions are short (1 minute), but duration increases with completion count. Return to the board after the timer and choose commands with the highest success probability. Successful operations count towards the trophy; failures do not. The trophy unlocks even if your boat explodes.

Older method involves manipulating console date, but the exploit is faster.

Reaching Heat Level 2 also triggers their appearance. They are heavily armored, often with face shields, and may carry rocket launchers or flamethrowers.
