Girls Frontline 2 Reroll Guide: Is It Worth It & How To Do It?

Starting your journey in Girls Frontline 2: Exilium and wondering if you should reroll for a better start? You’re in the right place! This comprehensive guide will walk you through everything you need to know about rerolling in Girls Frontline 2, helping you decide if it’s worth your time and effort, and how to do it efficiently.

Should You Reroll in Girls Frontline 2? – Weighing the Pros and Cons

Rerolling, the practice of creating new game accounts to get a favorable initial draw of characters, is a common strategy in gacha games. But is it necessary or even beneficial in Girls Frontline 2? Let’s break down the reasons why you might consider rerolling and why it might not be the best use of your time.

Reasons to Reroll in Girls Frontline 2

  • Maximize Your Starting Power: A strong initial team can significantly ease your early game progression in Girls Frontline 2. Rerolling gives you a chance to start with powerful SSR characters, giving you a head start in tackling challenging content and optimizing your gameplay experience from day one.
  • Aim for Meta Characters: Certain SSR characters in Girls Frontline 2 are considered meta or top-tier, offering superior performance in various game modes. Rerolling allows you to specifically target these highly sought-after characters, ensuring you begin with some of the best units in the game.
  • Beginner Banner Advantage: Girls Frontline 2 features a Beginner Banner that guarantees a random SSR character within the first 50 pulls at a discounted price. Rerolling lets you take full advantage of this banner, potentially netting you multiple SSR units early on.
  • Free Pre-registration Rewards: At launch, players receive a generous amount of Standard Summon Tickets and Collapse Pieces thanks to pre-registration rewards. These resources are crucial for early pulls, making rerolling attempts more fruitful and less time-consuming.

Reasons Why Rerolling Might Not Be Worth It

  • Time Investment: Rerolling is a time-consuming process. You’ll need to complete the tutorial and early stages (up to 1-4) to unlock the summoning feature for each account. This can take approximately 10-12 minutes per attempt, and the success isn’t guaranteed.
  • Account Deletion Timer: Unlike some games, Girls Frontline 2 doesn’t allow instant account deletion. There’s a cooldown period before you can create a fresh account, slowing down the rerolling process if you are not satisfied with your pulls.
  • Gacha Rates: While pre-registration rewards provide a decent number of initial pulls (around 30-40), the SSR character rates in Girls Frontline 2 are not exceptionally high. The Beginner Banner offers a 0.6% chance per pull, and the Standard Banner has a 0.3% chance (due to weapons also being included in the pool). Targeting a specific Standard SSR character further decreases your odds.
  • Beginner Banner Guarantees an SSR: The Beginner Banner’s guaranteed SSR within 50 pulls significantly reduces the pressure to reroll excessively. You are assured of obtaining at least one SSR character relatively early, making the need for a perfect reroll less critical for initial progression.
  • Rate-Up Banner Difficulty: Rerolling specifically for a rate-up character is extremely challenging. The premium currency earned during the initial tutorial is minimal, providing only a few pulls on the rate-up banner. Achieving a rate-up character through rerolling is highly improbable without significant luck or extreme patience.

How to Reroll in Girls Frontline 2: Step-by-Step Guide

Currently, the most reliable reroll methods for Girls Frontline 2 involve using emulators or the “salt email” technique. Guest accounts and the “Salt Method” might be restricted on some servers. Here’s a breakdown of the available methods:

Reroll Methods for Girls Frontline 2

  1. Emulator Multi-Instance Rerolling (Recommended): This is the fastest and most efficient method for rerolling in Girls Frontline 2. Using an Android emulator like BlueStacks allows you to create multiple instances of the game simultaneously, significantly speeding up the reroll process.

    • Steps for Emulator Rerolling:
      1. Download and install BlueStacks (or your preferred Android emulator). You can download it from the link below and support our website!
      2. Create a Master Instance in BlueStacks.
      3. Clone the Master Instance multiple times without opening the game in the Master Instance itself. This prevents account cookie conflicts.
      4. Launch Girls Frontline 2 in each cloned instance.
      5. Proceed with the Reroll Process (detailed below) in each instance concurrently.

  2. “Salt Email” Method: This method is slower than emulator rerolling but is a viable alternative if you prefer not to use emulators or face technical limitations. It leverages email aliasing to create multiple game accounts linked to a single primary email address.

Girls Frontline 2 Reroll Process – Common Steps

Regardless of the method you choose, the core reroll process remains the same:

  1. Account Creation: Log in to Girls Frontline 2 using the email option with a salted email address (for the salt email method) or simply start as a Guest account if available.
  2. Tutorial and Stage Progression: Complete the game tutorial and play through stages until you reach Stage 1-4. This unlocks the gacha (summoning) feature.
  3. Claim Rewards: Access your in-game mail and claim all available rewards, including pre-registration bonuses and any other launch gifts.
  4. Redeem Codes: Enter any active redeem codes to obtain additional summoning resources. See the “Active Codes” section below for a list of current codes.
  5. Perform Summons: Use all acquired Summon Tickets and Collapse Pieces on your desired banners (Standard Banner, Beginner Banner, or Rate-Up Banner, depending on your reroll path).
  6. Evaluate Results: Check your summoned characters. If you are satisfied with the results, bind your account to a permanent email or social media. If not, repeat steps 1-5 with a new salted email or emulator instance.

Girls Frontline 2 Reroll Paths: Heaven or Hell?

When rerolling, you have different strategies depending on your goals and risk tolerance. We’ve outlined two main reroll paths: the “Heaven Path” and the “Hell Path.”

Heaven Path (Recommended for Most Players)

  • Difficulty: Medium

  • Focus: Securing 1-4 strong SSR characters from the Beginner and Standard Banners.

  • Strategy: The Heaven Path prioritizes a solid and reliable start by focusing on the Beginner and Standard Banners, ignoring the Rate-Up Banner in the initial reroll phase.

    • Heaven Path Process:
      1. Follow the general reroll process to unlock summoning.
      2. Summon on the Standard Banner first. Aim to obtain a desired Standard SSR character using the initial 30+ Standard Summon Tickets.
      3. If successful in getting your target Standard SSR, switch to the Beginner Banner. This banner guarantees an SSR within 50 pulls and offers a 20% discount.
      4. By following this path, you are guaranteed to start with at least two SSR characters: one targeted from the Standard Banner and one random from the Beginner Banner. Lucky rerolls can yield even more SSRs!

Hell Path (For Hardcore Rerollers)

  • Difficulty: HELL

  • Focus: Obtaining the current Rate-Up character AND a Standard SSR character.

  • Strategy: The Hell Path is for players aiming for the absolute best possible start, requiring significant time and luck. It involves trying to pull the limited Rate-Up character with minimal premium currency and still securing a Standard SSR.

    • Hell Path Process:
      1. Follow the general reroll process to unlock summoning.
      2. Use the initial premium currency (Collapse Pieces) to perform pulls on the Rate-Up Banner. This will likely be only a few pulls (around 4-6). Pray for luck!
      3. If you successfully pull the Rate-Up character, congratulations! But the Hell Path isn’t over yet.
      4. Continue rerolling on the Standard Banner using the remaining Standard Summon Tickets. The goal is to obtain another SSR character from the Standard Banner in addition to the Rate-Up character.
      5. Only after securing both a Rate-Up SSR and a Standard SSR should you then proceed to summon on the Beginner Banner to get the guaranteed SSR, aiming for a potential starting roster of three SSR characters.

Weapon Summons – Should You Reroll for Weapons?

Generally, rerolling specifically for character-signature weapons is NOT recommended in Girls Frontline 2. Signature weapons for Standard SSR characters can be obtained from the Exchange Shop over time. While it requires patience to accumulate the necessary currency, focusing on securing strong characters is a more impactful initial strategy. A character without their signature weapon is still more valuable than a signature weapon without the corresponding character.
