Finding the Hidden Tower: Location, Location, Location
Despite its name, the Hidden Tower isn’t entirely impossible to find. While it’s not marked on the main Faerie City map, accessing this secret shop is straightforward once you know where to look. Simply navigate to the Faerie City map and click on the unmarked spot at the top center, as indicated in the image below. Be careful to avoid the Walein icon, which leads to the Faerie’s Hope app, if your goal is to reach the Hidden Tower.
Access and Purchase Restrictions
Visiting the Hidden Tower is open to all Neopets accounts, but purchasing its coveted items comes with a time-based restriction. Only accounts that are at least four months old are eligible to make purchases. If your account is newer than this, clicking on any item will simply redirect you back to Faerie City. A helpful tip for newer players: you can use a side account to make purchases if your main account doesn’t meet the age requirement yet.
Furthermore, purchases are limited to one item per 24-hour period. Attempting to buy another item within this timeframe will trigger an error message: “Error: Sorry, I will only sell one item to you every 24 hours, I don’t want to run out of stock!” This restriction applies account-wide, preventing you from switching to a side account for additional daily purchases.
Despite the Faerie Queen’s worry about running out of stock, all items are consistently available.
The Hidden Tower also observes stock-taking closures three times daily, during which purchases are unavailable:
- 1:00 AM – 2:00 AM NST
- 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM NST
- 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM NST
Discounts at the Hidden Tower
Unlike typical Neopian shops, haggling is not an option at the Hidden Tower. Clicking an item immediately commits you to the listed price. However, savvy shoppers can take advantage of two discount opportunities, although they cannot be combined.
3% Monthly Discount for Veteran Players
Accounts aged 60 months or older are rewarded with a 3% discount on any item in the Hidden Tower on the third Wednesday of each month. This is a perk for loyal users, and Jellyneo, a prominent Neopets resource site, often provides reminders on their homepage on these discount days.
10% Random Event Discount
A 10% discount on a single item can be randomly awarded through a Hidden Tower random event. This discount is applied to your next purchase and remains valid until used.
If you have a 10% discount active, the monthly 3% discount becomes unavailable until the 10% discount is used. You cannot stack or save the 10% discount by using the 3% monthly discount first.
When the 10% discount is active, item prices are shown with the original price crossed out and the discounted price displayed in red, accompanied by a special notice from Fyora, as shown below:
