Obtaining powerful skills is crucial for any aspiring mage in MapleRoyals. If you’re aiming to master fire magic, acquiring the Ifrit skillbook is a must. This guide will walk you through each step to unlock the Ifrit skill, enhancing your magical prowess in MapleRoyals. Before you begin, ensure you have already learned the Ice Demon skill as a prerequisite.
Your journey starts in El Nath. Head to the El Nath Market and speak with Alcaster.
He will task you with gathering specific items for his experiment. You’ll need to collect:
- 50 Firebomb Flames
- 10 Kentaurus’s Flame
- 10 Small Flaming Feather
Firebomb Flames are dropped by Firebombs, found in Zipangu and El Nath dungeons. Kentaurus’s Flame and Small Flaming Feathers can be obtained from Red Kentaurus and Blood Harp monsters in Leafre.
Once you’ve collected all the required items, return to Alcaster in El Nath. He will reveal that his experiment failed and direct you to Huckle in Orbis Tower.
You can find Huckle in a hidden room on the 10th Floor of Orbis Tower.
From Huckle, you will then be sent to find Hughes the Fuse, located in another hidden room down Orbis Tower towards Aqua Road (B2).
Hughes the Fuse requires materials to create a Summoning Frame. Gather the following:
- 10 Orihalcon Plates
- 5 Adamantium Plates
- 5 Mithril Plates
- 1 Soul Pouch
Return to Huckle after collecting these plates. He will now teach you how to craft a Soul Pouch. To make one, you’ll need:
- 30 Summoning Rocks
- 50 Evil Spirits from Dark Klocks
- 50 Free Spirits from Master Soul Teddies
- 50 Binding Bridles from Master Death Teddies
Tip: Consider bringing a friend to assist with collecting Free Spirits and Binding Bridles, as the monsters that drop them are resistant or immune to ice magic.
After gathering all the materials for the Soul Pouch, go back to Huckle. He will craft the Soul Pouch for you. Once you have the Soul Pouch, visit Hughes the Fuse again. He will now give you the Summoning Frame and instruct you to take it back to Alcaster.
Return to Alcaster, who will then direct you to Flo in Ludibrium.
In Ludibrium, Flo will inform you about needing the Key to the Other World. This key is an ETC item dropped by Gatekeepers in the Warped Passage.

Once you obtain the Key to the Other World, Flo will grant you access to the Room of Thanatos. Here, you must defeat Elemental Thanatos to acquire a Fire Soul Rock.
Note: Entering the Room of Thanatos requires a party of at least two arch mages. It’s recommended to have a Fire/Poison mage in your party, as two Thanatos will spawn: one ice type and one fire type.
Finally, return to Alcaster in El Nath with the Fire Soul Rock. Congratulations! You have completed the quest and obtained the Ifrit skillbook!
Note: Ifrit skillbook level 20 can be dropped by Blue Kentaurus, Nest Golem, Jr. Newtie, and Wooden Fish. However, Ifrit level 30 is exclusively available through Guild Point Quests (GPQ).
