Commercial Driver License (CDL) Information
If you’re pursuing a Commercial Driver License (CDL), there are specific requirements you need to meet. Act 922, which went into effect on July 31, 2017, requires the completion of a Human Trafficking Prevention Course for the issuance or renewal of a Class “A” CDL.

To complete the required course and get certified, visit http://www.truckersagainsttrafficking.org. Make sure to obtain a certificate of completion, as only specific certificates are accepted.
BEFORE CDL TESTING: You must purchase a CDL-1 Form (test packet) from the Department of Finance and Administration (Revenue Office). You will need a valid Arkansas Driver’s License and one (1) Proof of Legal Presence Document. Acceptable documents include: U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Birth Abroad Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, Permanent Resident Card or Employment Authorization Card.
IF YOU’VE HAD A NAME CHANGE: You will need to provide a legal document that verifies your name as it appears on your Driver’s License, such as a Legal Name Change Document, Marriage License, Divorce Decree, or Adoption Decree.
AT EACH VISIT TO THE TESTING CENTER: Applicants must present a Valid Arkansas Driver’s License, Current CDL-1 Form, and Proof of Legal Presence Document.

The written test for commercial driver licenses is administered at ALL of our troop testing sites. CDL Skill tests are ONLY administered at the following troop locations:
