The Stonevault encounter presents a unique challenge with two bosses, Speaker Brokk and Speaker Dorlita, who do not share a health pool. As a healer, your focus will be on managing raid-wide damage and tank damage while navigating the distinct abilities of each boss. When one boss falls, the remaining one gains the Silenced Speaker buff, emphasizing the need for balanced damage and strategic healing throughout the fight.
Understanding the Encounter Mechanics
Speaker Brokk initiates the fight with Molten Metal, a crucial ability to interrupt. Designate kick rotations to ensure this cast is consistently interrupted, minimizing raid damage. Periodically, Brokk will cast Scrap Song, jumping to the arena’s edge and launching a metal cube through the center. Healers must react quickly, positioning themselves towards the edges to evade the cube’s path. Be prepared for an immediate Molten Metal cast following Scrap Song, and coordinate ranged interrupts if possible.
Throughout the encounter, Exhaust Vents will activate in three of the four corners, spawning flame puddles within their quadrants for 30 seconds. Directly standing on active vents is fatal. Moving towards the inactive vent is advisable, offering a safer space to maneuver and potentially simplify dodging Speaker Dorlita’s attacks. While avoiding vent damage, be mindful of the ticking damage applied for 6 seconds after the Exhaust Vents cast.
Speaker Dorlita adds another layer of complexity with her Lava Cannon, a line attack targeting random players, similar to trash mob abilities encountered previously. Healers need to be aware of player positioning to anticipate and heal through this damage. Dorlita also utilizes Igneous Hammer, a significant tank hit. Ensure the tank is prepared with defensive cooldowns for each Igneous Hammer cast, and be ready to provide substantial single-target healing.
Shortly after Brokk’s Scrap Song, Dorlita will drag the cube to the arena’s center and unleash Blazing Crescendo. This ability causes significant raid-wide damage, applies a DoT to players within 20 yards, and sends waves outwards from all sides of the cube.
Healer Positioning and Strategy for Blazing Crescendo
Optimal positioning for Blazing Crescendo is crucial for healers. Position yourselves at the edges of the room, diagonally from the central cube. If an inactive vent is nearby, you can stand directly on it to safely avoid the waves. However, be prepared to move off the vent quickly after the waves and 20-yard circle dissipate. Near an active vent, position yourself immediately to the left or right of the vent to avoid both the lethal vent damage and the waves. Effective communication and raid awareness are key to navigating this phase.
Healing Priorities
As a healer in the Stonevault encounter, prioritize the following:
- Interrupt Molten Metal: Consistent interrupts are vital to minimize avoidable raid damage.
- Tank Healing through Igneous Hammer: Be prepared for predictable, heavy tank damage.
- Raid Healing during Blazing Crescendo: This is the most intense healing phase, requiring cooldown usage and effective positioning.
- Spot Healing for Lava Cannon and Scrap Song: React to player damage outside of the major mechanics.
- Awareness of Exhaust Vents: Avoid personal damage and position optimally.
By understanding these mechanics and focusing on these healing priorities, you can effectively lead your raid to victory in the Stonevault encounter. Remember to communicate with your co-healers and adapt your strategy as needed for a smooth and successful run.
