Stoneheart Thicket Mythic+ Guide: Defeating Speaker Brokk and Dorlita

Navigating the Stoneheart Thicket Mythic+ dungeon in World of Warcraft? This guide focuses on the challenging encounter with Speaker Brokk and Speaker Dorlita, a two-boss fight demanding strategic coordination. Unlike many encounters, these bosses don’t share health, requiring you to manage damage across both simultaneously. Failing to do so will empower the surviving boss with the Silenced Speaker buff, making the encounter significantly harder. Let’s break down how to conquer this fight.

Understanding Speaker Brokk’s Abilities

Speaker Brokk initiates the fight with a focus on controlling the arena space. A key ability to manage is Molten Metal, a cast that needs consistent interrupts. Assign a kick rotation to ensure this ability is handled effectively, minimizing raid damage.

Brokk will also periodically cast Scrap Song. During this, she jumps to the arena’s edge and throws a large metal cube across the center. When Scrap Song begins, immediately move towards the edges of the room to avoid the direct path of the cube and its damage. Be prepared, as a Molten Metal cast often follows Scrap Song, so ranged interrupts should be ready.

Exhaust Vents is another crucial mechanic. Three out of the four corner vents will activate, spawning fire puddles randomly within their quadrant for 30 seconds. Standing directly on an active vent is lethal. While taking ticking damage for 6 seconds after the cast is unavoidable if you are caught in the initial burst, smart positioning is key. Moving towards the inactive vent is advisable, as it eliminates the need to dodge fire puddles in that area and can simplify dodging Speaker Dorlita’s abilities simultaneously.

Handling Speaker Dorlita’s Attacks

While managing Brokk, you must also contend with Speaker Dorlita. Lava Cannon is a line attack targeting random players, similar to trash mobs within Stoneheart Thicket. Be aware of your surroundings and sidestep these line attacks to avoid unnecessary damage.

For tanks, Igneous Hammer is a significant tank buster. Ensure a defensive cooldown is active for every Igneous Hammer cast to mitigate the damage.

Dorlita’s most impactful ability, cast shortly after Brokk’s Scrap Song, is Blazing Crescendo. Dorlita drags the metal cube to the arena center and unleashes a large party-wide hit, applying a damage-over-time effect to players within 20 yards and emitting waves from all four sides of the cube.

To effectively dodge Blazing Crescendo, position yourselves at the edges of the room, diagonally aligned with the cube. If you are near the inactive vent, you can stand directly on it for safety. However, be ready to move off immediately after the waves and 20-yard radius damage dissipate. If you are near an active vent, position yourself immediately to the left or right of the vent to avoid both the lethal vent damage and the waves from the cube.

Strategic Tips for Success

The core strategy for Speaker Brokk and Dorlita is balanced damage. Focus fire on one boss can lead to the other becoming empowered by Silenced Speaker upon their partner’s death, making the remaining boss significantly more dangerous. Maintain relatively even health percentages on both bosses throughout the fight.

Effective positioning and movement are critical. Constantly be aware of vent locations, Scrap Song cube trajectory, and potential Lava Cannon lines. Utilize the inactive vent quadrant to minimize environmental hazards.

Coordinate interrupt rotations for Molten Metal on Speaker Brokk. Consistent interrupts will reduce raid-wide damage and healer stress.

By understanding each boss’s abilities and implementing these strategies, you’ll be well-equipped to defeat Speaker Brokk and Dorlita in Stoneheart Thicket Mythic+. Good luck, and have fun!
