Navigating student life at Indiana State University just got easier with the efficient and convenient student printing service. Indiana State University provides numerous Print Release Stations across campus, enabling you to print documents from your laptop or mobile device seamlessly. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get started with student printing, from setting up your devices to releasing your print jobs.
Getting Started with Student Printing
Indiana State University’s student printing system is designed for ease of use and accessibility. To utilize this service, you will need to install a simple software on your laptop. Once set up, you can send print jobs from anywhere on campus to the central print queue. These jobs are securely held until you release them at any Print Release Station using your University ID or login credentials.
Understanding Your Print Allotment
To support student printing, the university provides a print allotment to each enrolled student at the start of every semester. This allotment ensures you have sufficient printing credits for your academic needs.
- Undergraduate Students: Receive a $20 allotment, equivalent to approximately 650 black and white pages.
- Graduate Students: Receive a $30 allotment, equivalent to approximately 1000 black and white pages.
Unused balances roll over from the Fall semester to the Spring semester, and from the Spring semester to the Summer semester, giving you flexibility in managing your printing credits throughout the academic year. However, it’s important to note that all print account balances are reset to zero at the end of the Summer semester. Unused print allotments are non-refundable, so plan your printing accordingly to maximize your benefit.
Finding Print Release Stations
Conveniently located throughout academic and common-use buildings, Print Release Stations are easily identifiable by large blue signs marked “Student Printing Station.” These stations are placed in accessible areas such as the Library and the Hulman Memorial Student Union (HMSU), as well as various academic buildings across campus. For a detailed list of locations, you can visit: Student Printer Locations.
Checking Your Print Balance
Keeping track of your print balance is simple. You can check your account balance anytime while on campus and connected to the ISU network. Just visit the PaperCut Web Client portal and log in using your University username and password: PaperCut Web Client. This tool allows you to monitor your print usage and manage your allotment effectively.
