Classic WoW Tailoring Leveling Guide: Fast & Easy 1-300

This Classic WoW tailoring leveling guide provides the quickest and easiest method to boost your Tailoring skill from 1 to 300.

Tailoring in Classic WoW utilizes cloth as its primary material. Unlike many professions, Tailoring doesn’t require a gathering profession to acquire these materials, making it a versatile choice that can be paired with any gathering skill. A particularly popular combination is Tailoring and Enchanting. By crafting cloth items, you can then disenchant them, using the resulting dust and essences to level your Enchanting skill. If you’re interested in leveling Enchanting alongside Tailoring, be sure to check out our Classic WoW Enchanting leveling guide.

If you’re still in the process of leveling your character or starting a new alt, Zygor’s 1-60 Leveling Guide is a highly recommended resource to accelerate your journey to level 60.

Journeyman Tailoring

  • 100 – 110: Craft 13 Simple Kilt – Requires 52 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 13 Fine Thread

Expert Tailoring

To further advance your Tailoring skill past 150, you will need to learn Expert Tailoring, which requires character level 20. Expert Tailoring is taught by Artisan Tailors, not all trainers will offer this level of training.

Horde players can find Josef Gregorian in Undercity to learn Expert Tailoring, while Alliance players can learn from Georgio Bolero in Stormwind City.

Horde players can find Daryl Stack in Tarren Mill, Hillsbrad Foothills. He is located in the building directly east of the Inn.

Alliance players can learn from Timothy Worthington in Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh. He is on the top floor of the first small building to your left after disembarking from the boat.

Leveling Tailoring: 220 – 260

Leveling Tailoring: 260 – 280

  • 25: Craft 25 Runecloth Belt – Requires 75 Bolt of Runecloth, 25 Rune Thread

Alternatively, you can choose to craft Runecloth Bag instead of Runecloth Belts if you intend to sell them on the Auction House. Bags are more expensive to produce but can potentially recoup your investment through sales. If you prefer a simpler approach and don’t want to deal with selling bags, stick to crafting belts.

The recipe for Runecloth Bag can be acquired as detailed in the 280-290 section below.

Leveling Tailoring: 280 – 290

  • 18: Craft 18 Runecloth Bag – Requires 90 Bolt of Runecloth, 36 Rugged Leather, 18 Rune Thread

The Pattern: Runecloth Bag is sold by Qia in Everlook, Winterspring. She is located inside the bank building, in the left corner as you enter.

This recipe has a limited supply, so if it’s been purchased recently, you may need to wait for it to respawn. The restock time can vary from 5 to 90 minutes. If there are many players waiting, it’s often more efficient to purchase the pattern from the Auction House.

Leveling Tailoring: 290 – 300

  • 18: Craft 18 Runecloth Gloves – Requires 72 Bolt of Runecloth, 72 Rugged Leather, 18 Rune Thread

The Runecloth Gloves recipe will become yellow at skill level 290, so crafting 18 should be sufficient to reach 300.

The Pattern: Runecloth Gloves is also sold by Qia in Winterspring and is also a limited supply item.

Congratulations on reaching Tailoring skill level 300 in Classic WoW! We hope you found this Classic WoW tailoring leveling guide helpful.
