Enchanting is a fantastic profession, especially when paired with Tailoring. Neither profession requires a gathering skill to support it, and you can disenchant items created through Tailoring to obtain materials for Enchanting. Finding Your Classic Enchanting Trainer
To begin your enchanting journey, you must reach level 5 and locate an Enchanting trainer.

Leveling Your Enchanting Skill: Step-by-Step Guide
Enchanting Apprentice (1 – 50)
- 2-50: Disenchant green quality items or craft approximately 48x Enchant Bracer: Minor Health using 48 Strange Dust.

Becoming a Journeyman Enchanter
To progress beyond Enchanting level 75, you must train Journeyman Enchanting. This skill is taught by Expert Enchanters, not all trainers. You must be level 10 or higher to learn Journeyman Enchanting.

Enchanting Expert (110 – 135)
Purchase the recipes Formula: Enchant Bracer – Lesser Strength and Formula: Enchant Cloak – Minor Agility. These are sold by Kulwia (Horde) in Stonetalon Mountains and Dalria (Alliance) in Ashenvale.
These recipes have limited availability and respawn approximately every 30-50 minutes if purchased by another player.
- 110-135: Craft approximately 25x Enchant Cloak: Minor Agility – 25 Lesser Astral Essence

Becoming an Expert Enchanter
To become an Expert Enchanter, you must reach level 20 and Enchanting skill level 125. Seek out one of the Expert Enchanting trainers.
Each faction has a single Expert trainer:
- Kitta Firewind (Alliance) in Elwynn Forest, located at the top of the Tower of Azora.

Training Enchanting Beyond 225: Artisan Level
To become an Artisan Enchanter, you need to reach level 35 and have an Enchanting skill of 200. Annora in Uldaman is the sole trainer for Artisan Enchanting.
Annora teaches several recipes exclusive to Artisan Enchanters. Bring enough gold to learn all recipes and sufficient enchanting materials to reach skill level 250 to avoid a return trip to Uldaman for higher-level recipes.
Learning all recipes from Annora will cost approximately 11.79 gold. Around 200 Vision Dust should be enough to get you to Enchanting level 250.
How to Reach Annora in Uldaman
Uldaman is an instance located in the Badlands. Enter through the back entrance for a more direct path to Annora.
Reaching Annora at level 35 solo can be challenging. Consider forming a party or asking a level 60 player for assistance.

Consider purchasing the Formula: Enchant Bracer – Greater Stamina recipe from the Auction House. This world drop recipe is excellent for leveling Enchanting from 245 to 265 or even 285.
Enchanting Artisan (250 – 265)
- 250-265: Craft approximately 20x Lesser Mana Oil – 60 Dream Dust, 40 Purple Lotus, 20 Crystal Vial

You can continue crafting Lesser Mana Oil up to level 270 if Purple Lotus is affordable on your server.
