Embark on your journey to become a master Leatherworker in Classic World of Warcraft with our comprehensive guide. Leatherworking is a valuable profession, allowing you to craft armor and gear from the hides of beasts you encounter across Azeroth. Paired ideally with Skinning, Leatherworking can be a gold-generating profession or a way to equip your characters with powerful crafted items.
If you are still on your leveling journey to level 60, consider using a leveling guide to speed up the process. Zygor’s 1-60 Leveling Guide is a popular choice to reach the level cap efficiently.

Note: Leatherworking vendors, typically found near trainers, sell essential supplies like threads, dyes, and salt. Stock up as needed throughout your leveling process.

Finding Your Classic Leatherworking Trainer
To begin your Leatherworking apprenticeship, you must reach level 5 and locate a Leatherworking trainer in a major city.
Need help finding a trainer? Simply click on the links below for exact trainer locations. Alternatively, ask any city guard for directions to the Leatherworking trainer, and they will mark it on your map with a red flag.

Leveling 1 – 55
- Target Range: 1-55 (or 20-55) 40x Light Armor Kit – Requires 40 Light Leather
