ADA/Accessibility
The XFINITY Center is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible environment for all guests, including those with disabilities. Our facilities are designed to meet ADA standards, featuring accessible parking, power-assisted doors, restrooms, concessions, water fountains, ATMs, closed captioning, and designated seating areas. We strive to accommodate all guests and ensure everyone can enjoy events at the XFINITY Center.
ADA Ticket Fraud
To protect the integrity of our accessible seating and services, we strictly prohibit ticket fraud, including the misrepresentation of a disability. Maryland Athletics reserves the right to take appropriate action in cases of misrepresentation. This may include relocation, ticket revocation, or ejection from the venue. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring fair access for all guests with genuine needs.
Alcohol Policy
To maintain a safe and family-friendly atmosphere, strict regulations are in place regarding alcohol. Attempting to bring alcohol into the XFINITY Center is a violation of facility policy and may result in denied entry, ejection, arrest, and/or ticket revocation. Please review the Prohibited Items section for more details.
We encourage responsible behavior and adherence to our alcohol policy for the comfort and safety of all attendees.
Alcohol Sales
For guests who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages, Maryland Craft and National Brand beers, wine, and canned cocktails are available at designated stands throughout the Xfinity Center. To purchase alcohol, anyone appearing under the age of 40 must present a valid government-issued photo ID. Please have your ID ready for verification. There is a limit of two alcoholic beverages per person per transaction.
Alcohol sales conclude at the end of the 3rd quarter for Women’s Basketball games and with 10 minutes remaining on the clock for Men’s Basketball games. Misrepresenting your age to obtain alcohol or providing alcohol to anyone under 21 will result in immediate ejection and potential criminal prosecution. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated. For further inquiries, please consult our Alcohol FAQ. The University of Maryland promotes responsible alcohol consumption.
Locations for Alcohol Purchase:
- Permanent stands and cart locations throughout the Xfinity Center.
- Alcohol is not sold in Section 120-121 (Student Section).
Only beer, wine, and canned cocktails are sold within the Xfinity Center. Prices are as follows: Beer – $8.50 or $11, Wine – $11, and Canned Cocktails – $12.
Animals
For the safety and comfort of all guests, animals are not permitted inside the XFINITY Center. The only exceptions are service animals and service animals-in-training assisting guests with disabilities. Please refer to Prohibited Items for more information.

Arena Access
Gates at the Xfinity Center open to the general public and students at the following times before games:
- Men’s Non-Conference Games: 1 hour prior to the start.
- Men’s Conference Games: 1.5 hours prior to the start.
- Women’s Games: 1 hour prior to the start.
Arriving early allows you ample time to navigate the venue and settle in before the event begins.
ATMs
For your convenience, a SECU automated teller machine (ATM) is located on the Plaza Level (2nd level) to the right of the Terrapin Team Shop. This ATM is readily accessible for any cash needs during your visit.
Bag Policy
To enhance safety and expedite entry into the XFINITY Center, we have implemented a clear bag policy. Guests are permitted to bring only the following types of bags, all of which are subject to search:
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″.
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, measuring 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap.
All other bags are prohibited, including but not limited to: purses, backpacks, drawstring bags that are not clear, briefcases, coolers, fanny packs, luggage, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases, and diaper bags. Guests are encouraged to return prohibited items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items not permitted inside the venue.
Bag Search
All clear bags are subject to thorough search upon entry and may be subject to additional searches within the arena. We appreciate your cooperation with our security personnel during the bag search process. Guests who attempt to bring unauthorized items will be asked to return them to their vehicles. The University of Maryland is not responsible for safeguarding prohibited items. Violators of arena rules or any state or city laws will be refused admission or asked to leave. This policy is enforced for all guests entering the XFINITY Center.
Banners, Signs, & Flags
Guests are welcome to bring handheld signs and banners to events at the XFINITY Center, provided they adhere to the following guidelines:
- Signs must be event-related and in good taste.
- Signs cannot obstruct the view of other guests.
- Commercial messages, logos, or political endorsements are prohibited.
- Signs cannot be hung on the arena structure.
- Signs or flags on sticks or poles are not permitted.
Maryland Athletics reserves the right to confiscate any signs that violate arena policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring all signs are appropriate and respectful.
Bottles & Cans
To ensure a safe environment, bottles, cans, and other beverage containers are not permitted to be brought into the XFINITY Center. Security personnel conduct searches at the gates to prevent these and other prohibited items from entering. Exceptions may be made for guests with medical requirements or special needs; please refer to Prohibited Items for more information.

Bus/Shuttle Service
Shuttle-UM
The University of Maryland’s Shuttle-UM operates route #104, providing service between the College Park Metro station and the Stamp Student Union. The schedule for this route can be found here: Shuttle-UM Route 104 Schedule. This service offers a convenient transportation option for visitors using public transit.
Cameras
Still cameras are permitted at XFINITY Center events for personal use, provided they do not interfere with other guests’ enjoyment of the event. However, flash photography is prohibited as it may disrupt players and performers. Video cameras are not allowed inside the XFINITY Center.
We ask for your consideration in using cameras so as not to disturb other attendees.
Children’s Ticket Policy
Everyone attending an event at the XFINITY Center, regardless of age, requires a ticket for admission. For children two (2) years of age and under, lap tickets are available upon request at the admission gate. Children with lap tickets must be seated on the lap of a parent or guardian and must not obstruct the sight lines of other patrons.

Closed Captioning
For guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, closed captioning of game announcements is available on the four ribbon boards located in the corners of the arena. This service ensures important information is accessible to all attendees.
Compliments, Complaints, & Comments
Your feedback is important to us. Guests wishing to share a compliment, complaint, or comment can do so in person at the Fan Assistance/Customer Service Center, located at the top of Section 106 inside the XFINITY Center. Written feedback can also be submitted via our website by clicking here. We value your input as it helps us improve the guest experience.
Concessions
A wide variety of concession stands are located throughout the XFINITY Center on both the Plaza Level (2nd level) and Concourse Level (3rd level). Please note that all concession stands at the XFINITY Center are cashless, with the exception of Ledo Pizza locations. Accepted forms of payment include MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
General Concession Offerings:
- Food courts offer nachos, pretzels, popcorn, peanuts, candy, chips, Cracker Jacks, and Pepsi products.
- Suite lobbies offer hot dogs, pretzel braids, peanuts, candy, Frito Lay Chips, Cracker Jacks, and Pepsi products.
- Beer, wine, and canned cocktails are available at concession stands and carts throughout the arena, excluding Sections 120-121.

Electronic Ticket Scanning
The XFINITY Center utilizes electronic ticket scanning to ensure ticket authenticity and streamline entry. Tickets are scanned upon entry and cannot be reused by another guest once scanned. Please have your tickets ready for scanning as you enter the venue.
Elevators
Elevators are conveniently located on the east side of the XFINITY Center, providing access to the Ground, Plaza (2nd Level), and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels. An additional elevator near Gate F offers access between the Plaza (2nd Level) and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels. These elevators ensure accessibility for all guests throughout the venue.
Emergencies
In case of an emergency, please notify the nearest usher, security personnel, police officer, or visit First Aid behind Section 209 or Fan Assistance at the top of Section 106. In the event of a venue-wide emergency, important information and evacuation procedures will be announced over the public address system and displayed on stadium video boards. Your safety is our priority, and our staff is trained to assist you in emergency situations.

There are six (6) main entrances to the XFINITY Center for the general public. Please refer to the XFINITY Center map for visual guidance.
General Public Entrances:
- Gate A (South Plaza Gate): Southeast corner atop the grand staircase (Main Public Entrance).
- Gate B (North Plaza Gate): Northeast corner atop the staircase.
- Gate C (South Ground Gate): Southeast corner on the Ground Level. (ADA Entrance Only)
- Gate D (North Ground Gate): Northeast corner on the Ground Level. (ADA Entrance Only)
- Gate E (Garage Concourse Gate): Southwest corner adjacent to the Terrapin Trail Parking Garage.
- Gate F (Student Concourse Gate): Northwest corner.
Designated Entrances:
- Gate F (Student Concourse Gate): Northwest corner (Student & Student Guest Entrance).
- Gate A (South Plaza Gate): Southeast corner atop the grand staircase (Entrance on the left) (Maryland Basketball Player Guest Entrance).

Escalators
Escalators are located on the East end of the Plaza Level (2nd Level) of the XFINITY Center, inside the main entrances, specifically behind Sections 107, 108, 207, & 208. Escalators provide convenient access between the Plaza (2nd Level) and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels.
Family Restrooms
All 37 restrooms throughout the XFINITY Center are accessible and equipped with baby-changing tables, catering to guests with small children. Additionally, two (2) private, family restrooms are located at the top of Sections 105 and 110 on the Plaza Level (2nd Level). These designated family restrooms offer added privacy and convenience for guests with small children and guests with disabilities.
Fan Assistance
For any questions, problems, or concerns during your visit, please visit the Fan Assistance center located at the top of Section 106 inside the XFINITY Center. Our Fan Assistance team is ready to help make your experience enjoyable.
Fan Code of Conduct
The University of Maryland is dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all fans, student-athletes, coaches, and officials. We expect all event patrons to conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully. This includes the behavior of guests using your tickets, even if tickets are given away or sold, as the account holder remains responsible for their actions. Violations of the Fan Code of Conduct may result in ejection and potential loss of season ticket accounts and/or parking privileges.
Inappropriate and disruptive behaviors that are subject to penalties include:
- Excessive alcohol consumption
- Fighting
- Obscene, profane, or abusive language or behavior
- Interfering with other fans’ ability to view the game
- Smoking inside the XFINITY Center
- Scalping or improper resale of tickets
- Interfering with security procedures
- Going onto the court or interfering with the game process
- Throwing objects onto the court or within the venue
- Any action warranting ejection and/or ticket confiscation by police or stadium security

First Aid
First Aid services are available on the Concourse Level (3rd Level) behind Section 209 of the XFINITY Center. Paramedics and ambulances are present during Terrapin Basketball games. If you require medical assistance, please contact the nearest Maryland guest service representative, usher, arena security personnel, or police officer.

Guests with Disabilities
The XFINITY Center is designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring all guests, including those with disabilities, have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Parking: Disabled parking is available in Lot 4B and the Terrapin Trail Garage for guests with valid disabled permits. Guests attempting to park in Lot UU require a specific pass for that lot. Seating: Accessible seating is available in five locations throughout the XFINITY Center:

Heritage Hall
Heritage Hall, situated on the East side of the XFINITY Center on the Plaza level (2nd Level), is a versatile space with a capacity of 200. Lost & Found
Lost items can be turned in to any Maryland Guest Services Representative, usher, or Fan Assistance at the top of Section 106. Guests looking to claim or report lost items during an event should visit the Fan Assistance Center. For inquiries about items lost at previous events, please call the Maryland Athletics Facilities, Operations & Events office at (301) 314-7126. Items are held for 30 days before being disposed of or donated to charity. Maryland Athletics is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Lost Children & Guests
Lost children and guests should be taken to Fan Assistance at the top of Section 106. Parents searching for a lost child should contact the nearest usher or security personnel and then proceed to Fan Assistance. Our staff will assist in reuniting lost parties.

The M Club is an organization within the University of Maryland Athletic Department for former Terrapin student-athlete letter winners. Media Entrance
The designated media entrance is located on the South side of the XFINITY Center via Gate C. Media personnel entering through this gate will have their bags inspected and tagged accordingly.
Media Will Call
Media Will Call is situated outside of the South Ground Gate (Gate C) at the Southeast corner of the arena on the Ground Level. Identification is required to pick up tickets left at the Media Will Call window. For ticket inquiries, please call 1-800-462-TERP or email [email protected].
Merchandise
Official Maryland Terrapins merchandise is available at the Terrapin Team Shop, located on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) inside the main entrances of the XFINITY Center. A novelty stand is also located behind section 206 on the Concourse Level (3rd Level). For online shopping convenience, please visit our online store.
National Anthem

On-Court Access
Access to the XFINITY Center court is restricted to authorized personnel with proper credentials before, during, and after games. Unauthorized individuals entering the court area will be removed from the arena and may be subject to arrest. Please respect these regulations to ensure event security and integrity.
Parking
Terrapin Club donors who are season ticket holders may be eligible for men’s basketball parking benefits based on their annual giving level. Parking assignments and lots are subject to change annually. There is a limit of one (1) parking space per four (4) season tickets. Parking – Men’s Basketball
Parking restrictions are implemented 4 hours prior to men’s basketball tipoff. Faculty/Staff can access their designated lots by presenting their employee ID and valid parking permit.
Student Permit Holders: Entry to student parking lots is prohibited starting 4 hours prior to game time. For Conference games, vehicles must be removed 3 hours prior to tipoff from affected lots: 4b, 6, 9b, 11b, FF, P1, P2, RDG (B,RR), UU, XX1.
Student Commuter Permit Holders: Relocating commuter students can park in lot 1 anytime on game days and must remove their vehicles by 7 am the following morning unless it is a weekend.
Resident Permit Holders (lots 5, 6, 11b): Residents do not need to relocate for games but cannot enter their lots starting 4 hours prior to tipoff until 1 hour after tipoff. Lot 1 is available during this restricted period.
Prepay Permits: Prepay permits for RDG are available for purchase at $22 for non-conference games and $25 for conference games. Shuttle service is no longer provided.
Free Parking: Free parking for all home games is available in lots 1 and Z starting at 4 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends, with shuttle bus service provided.
Handicap Permit Holders: Guests with handicap permits can pay to park in Terrapin Trail Garage (credit card only, $22/$25). Handicap guests with RDG prepay or Terrapin Club permits and a disabled placard/tag can park in TTG without additional fees.
Parking – Women’s Basketball
Parking at XFINITY Center Lots is free after 4 pm on weekdays and weekends unless reserved for special events.
Limited Handicap Parking is available in Lot UU, with overflow handicap parking directed to Terrapin Trail Garage, level 2.
Pedestrian Walkways
Pedestrian walkways are established by Athletics, UMPD, and DOTS to ensure safe passage for walking guests from SDG, RDG, and Lot 1 to the Xfinity Center. Please utilize these designated walkways for your safety and convenience.
Pep Band
The Maryland Pep Band provides spirited support for Men’s and Women’s Basketball at all home games and throughout the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments. Enjoy their energetic performances during games!
Player Guest Will Call
Will Call for Player Guests is located inside the first set of doors at Gate A (Southeast corner of the XFINITY Center, atop the Grand Staircase) on the left. Maryland Men’s Basketball programs are available for purchase at various locations throughout the XFINITY Center before and during games. These programs offer game-day information and team details.

The Big Ten Conference promotes sportsmanship and a family-friendly environment. Your cooperation in maintaining this atmosphere is appreciated. Profanity or actions intended to incite, intimidate, or threaten others will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal.

All persons and belongings are subject to search. Guests are asked to return prohibited items to their vehicles as the University of Maryland cannot safeguard them. Violations may result in ejection and jeopardize future event attendance. Disruptive behavior, including threats, interference with other fans, and throwing objects, is strictly prohibited and may lead to ejection, ticket suspension/revocation, arrest, and prosecution.
Promotions
Promotional item giveaways are subject to change and have individual restrictions. A game ticket does not guarantee a promotional item, and only one item is distributed per person. Please be considerate of other guests and take only one promotional item.
Public Address
Public address announcements are limited to emergency situations. Emergency requests should be directed to the nearest Maryland Guest Services Representative, usher, security personnel, or police officer.

Re-entry to the XFINITY Center with the same ticket is not permitted. However, in emergencies, a gate supervisor may authorize re-entry with a signed ticket. Guests leaving without authorization will not be allowed to re-enter with the same ticket.

Signage
New LED Ribbon Boards and Auxiliary Scoreboards were installed in the northeast and southeast corners of the upper fascia above the 100-level seating sections during the 2017-18 season. Digital Signage was also installed above the north and south vomitories in 200-level seating sections.
Smoking
The University of Maryland is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited inside and on the Open Air Balconies of the XFINITY Center. Please comply with this policy for a healthy environment.
Spirit Squad

Student Seating
Students enjoy a premier Men’s Basketball student section, encompassing the first 10 rows around the court and the arena’s West wall. This creates a unique home-court advantage. View the seating diagram for more details.
Suites
There are 20 Suites at the XFINITY Center, located along both sidelines of the arena on the Plaza Level (2nd Level):
- Suites 1-10: North side, top of sections 112-116.
- Suites 11-20: South side, top of sections 125, 126, 101, and 102.

Terp Hosts
Terp Hosts are guest relations staff dedicated to ensuring a positive experience at XFINITY Center basketball games. They are trained in stadium security, crowd management, and promoting “The Maryland Way” – emphasizing sportsmanship and friendly interactions between all fans. Terp Hosts are strategically positioned throughout the arena to welcome and assist guests.
Terrapin Club

Testudo

Video Cameras & Video Capable Cell Phones
Video cameras are prohibited inside the XFINITY Center, and storage for these items is not provided. Please refer to PROHIBITED ITEMS. While video recording with cell phones is generally discouraged if disruptive, cell phones themselves are permitted.
