Unlocking Dual Destiny: A Step-by-Step Guide
To initiate the Dual Destiny unlock sequence, you need to locate and defeat three Secret-Keepers of the Witch Queen. These unique Wizard enemies are hidden within The Pale Heart’s three main zones and will only appear after you’ve successfully completed the Overthrow activity in each respective area.
Here’s where to find each Secret-Keeper:
- The Landing: Search inside the cave situated near the Lost Sector entrance in The Landing.
- The Blooming: Head to the east of The Blooming’s fast travel point and explore the maze-like structures to find the Secret-Keeper.
- The Impasse: Look for the Secret-Keeper in close proximity to the Lost Sector within The Impasse.

It’s crucial to ensure you defeat the Secret-Keeper that spawns after you’ve completed the Overthrow activity in each zone. If you miss defeating the Secret-Keeper, you’ll need to repeat the Overthrow activity in that area.
Once you’ve successfully defeated all three Secret-Keepers, a noticeable green beam of light will ascend into the sky within The Pale Heart. Your next step is to follow this beam of light, which will lead you to a cave situated between The Landing and The Blooming zones.

Enter the cave to discover a statue of Savathun. Interacting with the statue initiates the next phase of unlocking Dual Destiny. You will now be tasked with locating two charges, dropped by specific Subjugator enemies.
These Subjugators are named Expector Selin and Expector Yemiq. Defeating Expector Selin will reward you with a Refracted Light charge, while Expector Yemiq drops a Sublimated Darkness charge. These enemies will be marked on your Heads-Up Display (HUD) one at a time, making them easier to locate.
After collecting both charges, return to Savathun’s statue and deposit them into the designated plate. Once both Refracted Light and Sublimated Darkness charges are deposited, a mission banner will materialize. Interacting with this banner allows you to launch the Dual Destiny mission directly.
