The latest update to Disney Dreamlight Valley brings beloved characters Simba and Nala to the valley! After welcoming Nala, you can immediately embark on the quest to unlock Simba, titled ‘Stars to Guide Us’. Unlike some character unlocks, this quest is straightforward and readily available after completing ‘Eyes in the Dark’. This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough to complete the ‘Stars to Guide Us’ quest and bring Simba to your Disney Dreamlight Valley village.
Journey to the Lion King Realm
Begin by entering the Lion King Realm through the castle doors. Upon entering, you’ll find Simba in the jungle. Engage in a conversation with him. Follow Simba further into the jungle, retracing your steps from the previous quest where you first encountered him. Speak with Simba again. He expresses a longing to see the stars, seeking guidance from his father, but the persistent cloud cover obscures the night sky.
Consulting Merlin’s Wisdom
As is often the solution to magical dilemmas in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Merlin is the key. Seek out Merlin in the Dreamlight Valley and discuss Simba’s predicament. Merlin proposes a magical solution: crafting an object reminiscent of Simba’s past to clear the clouded sky. This object is Rafiki’s Walking Stick.
Crafting Rafiki’s Walking Stick
To craft Rafiki’s Walking Stick, you will need to gather the following materials: 5 Softwood, 5 Fiber, and 2 Purified Night Shards. Softwood is readily available in most biomes. Fiber can be crafted from Seaweed at a crafting station. Purified Night Shards are created by refining Night Shards with Dream Shards. Once you have collected all the materials, head to a crafting station and create Rafiki’s Walking Stick. Return to the Lion King Realm and speak with Simba. Place Rafiki’s Walking Stick on the designated rock near Simba. A brief cutscene will play, and the clouds will magically dissipate, revealing the starlit sky.
Restoring the Dried-Up Oasis
With the stars visible, Simba finds renewed inspiration and purpose. He expresses a desire to improve his realm before leaving. Follow Simba to the dried-up oasis in the jungle. Simba begins working on restoring water to the oasis. Your task is to locate and plant seeds in the oasis area. You need to find three types of seeds: Jungle Fern Seeds, Waterfall Plant Seeds, and Clearing Tree Seeds.
Explore the jungle thoroughly to find the seeds. They are obtained by digging up sparkling plants scattered throughout the Lion King Realm. Use your Royal Shovel to dig up these plants and collect the Jungle Fern Seeds, Waterfall Plant Seeds, and Clearing Tree Seeds. The sparkling effect makes them relatively easy to spot as you explore.
Planting Seeds and Restoring Water
Once you have gathered all three types of seeds, return to Simba and speak with him. The quest will update, instructing you to plant the seeds around the oasis. Prepare the soil by digging holes in the designated planting spots within the oasis, just as you would when gardening in Dreamlight Valley. Plant each type of seed in the prepared holes.
After planting the seeds, talk to Simba again. He will then prompt you to use your Royal Pickaxe on a nearby rock formation to channel water back into the oasis. Equip your pickaxe and break the rock. Water will flow back into the oasis, revitalizing the area. With the oasis restored to its former glory, Simba feels ready to join Nala and explore Dreamlight Valley. As Pride Rock is already present in Dreamlight Valley, you won’t need to build a separate home for Simba. The ‘Stars to Guide Us’ quest concludes after speaking to Simba in Dreamlight Valley, officially welcoming him to your village!
