This Classic WoW Tailoring leveling guide is your go-to resource for quickly and efficiently raising your Tailoring skill from 1 to 300.
Tailoring in WoW Classic utilizes cloth as its primary material. The great thing about Tailoring is that you don’t need a gathering profession to obtain cloth, making it a versatile profession to pair with any gathering skill. A particularly popular combination is Tailoring and Enchanting. Crafting cloth items allows you to disenchant them, providing dust and essences which are essential for leveling Enchanting. If you’re interested in leveling Enchanting alongside Tailoring, be sure to check out our Classic WoW Enchanting leveling guide.
If you are still in the process of leveling your character or starting a new alt, Zygor’s 1-60 Leveling Guide is a fantastic tool to accelerate your journey to level 60.

To begin your Tailoring journey in Classic WoW, you’ll need to find a Tailoring trainer. You can learn Tailoring once you reach level 5.
Trainers can be found in major cities. If you’re unsure of their exact location, simply ask any guard in a city for directions to the Tailoring trainer. They will mark the trainer’s location on your map with a red flag.
